LAKE TAHOE FIELD GUIDE

Eric Peterson has curated our Field Guide for December 2023 on one of his favorite places to spend time, Summer or Winter months — Lake Tahoe, CA.

BREAKFAST

If you're looking for a good start to the day in Tahoe City, grab yourself a coffee and breakfast sandwich at West Shore Market — perfect for a bite and morning rocket fuel before heading to Homewood for a powder day. Highly recommend picking up some Fireball shooters for the chairlift, too.

DRINKS

Sunnyside is a lakeside classic and has been around since the invention of the wheel. Be sure to treat yourself to a Mai Tai or Sunnyside Slushie (ask for a double) and catch some live music on Friday nights. Also a solid spot to watch a football game and unwind after a day of ripping on the mountains.

SKI RUNS

I'm clearly biased toward Homewood and have always loved the Ego Alley run off the Ellis chair. It starts off a bit difficult then eases toward the middle of the face... even after several borderline concussions, it's still my favorite shoot!

CASINOS

Though a love/hate relationship with gambling, if I'm willing to lose money I go to Crystal Bay on the North Shore. Blackjack is my go-to & if you tip the dealer well you could be in for an all-nighter. Either way, you'll have a good time with your crew at Crystal Bay.
